FREE FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT REVIEW – GET IN TOUCH!

When did you last review your fire risk assessment?

JCH Safety are aware that many people carry out a fire risk assessment (FRA) but then forget about it for a couple of years. This is not the right thing to be doing! Fire risk assessments should be carried out and reviewed regularly. This is why we are offering a free follow on safety consultation after the FRA has been carried out.

Why do you need to carry out a fire risk assessment review?

It is a legal requirement  to carry out a fire risk assessment and to review it frequently. Many companies mistake this for a need to carry out a full fire risk assessment every year. This is not always necessary, but you should review your fire risk assessment at least once a year. Something JCH Safety has noticed is that people have fire risk assessments carried out but they do not necessarily use it properly. They don’t read them and they don’t remedy dangerous items. Simply having a fire risk assessment does not make your business, school or organisation safe from the risk of fire. What counts is resolving the higher risk items that are identified in your fire risk assessment. Dealing with your fire risks makes your premises fire safe. This includes carrying out fire awareness training, fire marshal training and carrying out property repairs.

What does the free fire risk assessment review offer?

JCH Safety are offering a free fire risk assessment review 3 months after we carry out your fire risk assessment for you. This involves a FREE online consultation to review the action points and recommendations that came to light from the fire risk assessment. The objective is to help our customers  achieve statutory compliance, to rectify outstanding items and to mitigate the risk of fire as much as is feasibly possible. Our free fire risk assessments offer clients the chance to discuss action items that have been addressed and to obtain further free safety advice about matters that are outstanding.

Achieving fire safety

Good fire safety is part of the good management of health and safety at work. Fire safety starts with the fire risk assessment but this is not where it ends. Once an assessment has been carried out you need to action the items of concern that have been identified. This might include having a five year fixed wiring inspection done or carrying out repairs to fire doors or your compartment walls for example. Once the risks have been addressed you need to document that they have been done. The free fire risk assessment review that JCH Safety offer does this for you.

JCH Safety are here to help. Please feel free to get in touch!
